Preparing energy performance certificates

The fact that more than 40 % of our energy consumption is used to maintain buildings makes the energy efficiency of buildings particularly important. As of 01 January 2009 in cases of newly-built and publicly-used (state or municipal) buildings, energy performance certification is mandatory. The regulation adopted following the EU recommendation renders obligatory the certification also in case of old buildings from 2012.

The objective of the certificate is to provide buyers with credible information on the energy performance of the building or apartment and with recommendations regarding the necessary and feasible refurbishment and modernization.
